I will never boost over 30psi! I just want a DV that gives me a really good throttle response and I am thinking to go with your product. I hear so many horror story about different DV's.I am so confused.

The GFB is a completely different design principle. It's main intent is to allow increased sound by venting a user-selectable portion of the gas to the atmosphere. The spring tension is adjustable to help fine-tune things. Overall, it provides decent driveability for a valve that discharges to the atmosphere, but gets a little finicky at higher boost levels.

What is stronger? A crushed metal IX DV or the Works DV?

You can crush either to the point where one is stronger than the other. The issue with crushing is that you can get to the point where it limits the travel of the valve and won't be able to expell the gasses effectively. (This is more of an issue at higher boost levels and the catch is that as you crush to hold higher boost you can't release it due to the decrease in CFM that can discharge.)

BOV or DV

Does a stock 2006 evo IX have BOV or a DV type of device then?

The 2006 evo IX has a diverter valve.

Bringing this one back from the dead.

Bill@Works can you please give us an update on how this BOV is working for your customers? Can you check and see if you've ever had any complaints of surging or stuttering?

Have you ever tested it back to back with a stock BOV to see exactly what difference it makes @30psi? Can you post a dyno graph?

Here is a dyno graph from my personal car comparing the stock IX valve vs. a Forge unit. . .

You can see that the stocker is loosing power and boost when the car should be hitting it's peak boost, and as pressures fall it leaks less. This is ~30-32psi max, falling to 24psi or so. . .

Only problem is I don't want to mess with "tuning" the Forge unit to get driveability where I want it. Do you think your unit will give the same gains with stock-like driveability??

Thanks!!

Here's a picture of the car it is for
