How much louder is RTP + Stealthworks vs. Stock?
How much louder is RTP + Stealthworks vs. Stock?
I'm planning on running this set up soon .. just want to know how many more db's to expect inside and out. Any sound clips? Much thanks in advance!
After spending yesterday morning/early afternoon with Bill at Works, my IX MR now has:
I just want to say thank you to Bill for the awesome advice and support in helping me chose the right exhaust components for my car. I was originally planning to run the RTP, but since there is no bung for the O2 sensor on it, I would have needed to also run the IP in order to have the sensor in place without any CELs. Rather than pressure me into purchasing additional products, he objectively presented several options for me to choose from and helped me measure the most bang for the buck given my strict requirements: not too loud, stock appearance, with best performance possible.
The result: the car sounds stock at idle and low revs, with a bit more growl in the top end. It pulls like a freight train in all gears and pretty much buries the needle on the factory boost gauge all the way to redline. Simply put: its a completely different car which meets my expectations with pinpoint accuracy. As far as the suspension setup and alignment are concerned, I haven't had a chance to really "turn" the car, but plan to later this weekend on some local mountain roads. As far as the ride height goes, I couldn't be happier.
To be honest, I was a bit hesitant at first to go all WORKS since they are at the upper end of the price spectrum, but after witnessing first hand their commitment to customer satisfaction and the overall quality of their products, I'm VERY happy with my decision.
Thanks to Bill for the great salesmanship and the flawless install and alignment, and to Matt for his advice on the exhaust configurations. WORKS FTW!

Glad to hear everything is as you'd hoped.
I have had the same experience dealing with them (over the phone since Im in AZ) and they have always taken the time to explain things to me and helped me make the right decisions for my car.
I agree they are more costly than most other EVO tuning shops that fab their own parts but the quality is well worth the $$$

Is there any reason why you didn't get a rear sway bar also? Works suspension packages seem to come with a rear bar... ss-1, ss-2 and ss-3 come with a rear bar. You were only a rear sway bar away from the ss-2 package.
