What was the design intent of the Exhale ABM

Though my reading I found out that Works first offered the Exhale AB (non muffled) and then after a while the Exhame ABM. What was the main goal during the design on the Exhale ABM? Was it noise reduction? I am looking for a very quiet muffler other than the stealthworks modification. It does not need to be a works catback. I am also considering COBB? Any info on design intent of ABM and sound?

Do you know how it compares to a COBB CatBack soundwise. I have been searching for soundclips for days and found nothing for the Exhale Cat Back. COBB seems preety quiet at low rpm and a lil louder at WOT but I am not sure if they are both comparable. The do not have any dB numbers in their website. Anyone?

I think we spoke earlier on the phone. Here are the sound clips I was referring to: http://www.worksevo.com/store/produc...roducts_id=250 While this is a different car, engine, etc... It does use the same canister as the EVO Exhale ABM and has similar sound qualities.

To anwer the original question: Our intent was to provide an offering that provided the increased performance of the ABM while keeping sound levels contained. As mentioned, the ABM has a relatively low volume with a deep tone that has a bit of a growl under full throttle, but nothing that drones or draws unwanted attention.

Sound level will vary depending on the method used. Our unofficial tests put it in the mid-90 range while trying to mimic CHP protocol. We have several customers meeting the 92 dB limit at Laguna Seca, but these are two vastly different methods--almost as different as my brother-in-law cop and yours

the Exhale series with the stealth muffler is AMAZINGLY quiet, like quiet to the point that my fiancee NEVER even noticed I put it on, which is great because she would've had my ******* in a vice had she known I was modding my car behind her back. . .and power wise?? If you look at some previous Dyno posts I've made in the GSC section, I had installed the cams with ONLY a works DP and was at 300awhp; I then purchased the Exhale HFC, IP, and Stealth Muffler and after my retune (to adjust for the new AFRs from the HFC), I netted 25 additional awhp!!! Not to mention another 20 awtq.

So the exhale stealth series WORKS for sure :-)

I did have to get some Kartboi hangars, however, since there was some slop from my stock rubber hangars and the exhaust would slap badly over bumps; I suspect this isn't from poor fit and finish of WORKS products, but rather my stock rubber hangars having been through brutal NorthEast Winters and horrible Texas Summers. . .
