MoTeC Launch Control

I'm looking for an Engine Management unit and the best one I'm found for my price range is the MoTeC M4 unit that incorporates Launch Control. How does this Launch Control work?

It works off ABS sensors like traction control, similar system as the modern C5 Vettes and Porsche 911T's.

BTW: I have a Q. Since you're buying an E8, do you know if the E8's techno-whiz bang programs activating the AYC and etc are within the ECU or another seperate ECU?

I know the ACD is a separate ECU from the engine's.

A launch control can vary from a set Redline when clutch is engaged... to sensors added to the actualy wheels to detect wheel spin and etc. Its all about how custom you go. Id say if you have the money... ALS and Launch control with the Motec on the Evo would be veyr nice. Look at Norris' car over in the UK.
