What, what, what?

So let me get this straight. The brain reflash is a replacement unit for the stock ECU, not a piggy back? And WORKS will only continue to reflash it with better numbers if the additional mods are bought from them? WORKS doesn't offer every mod I want to put on my car. What do I do about this? And do I have to send my ECU off leaving my car undrivable for a while to get the new one programmed? How does everything work? Information, PLEASE !!!

The Brain re-flash is your stock ECU re-flashed/re-programmed. It is not a new ECU, and it does not require removal or replacement of your chip. The re-flash currently re-maps fuel and timing, and is available in 93 and 91 octane versions. A boost control re-flash is supposed to be forthcoming I understand.

Works offers optimized re-flashes dyno tuned around their other products. They are not saying that other vendors products won't work with their re-flash. At the same time they are not going to formally post dyno results for their re-flash and competitors products. There are already people using a combination of vendor parts with the Works re-flash.

WORKS doesn't offer every mod I want to put on my car. What do I do about this?
What mods do you want? Works will be releasing additional products soon. They will all be custom matched to the other Works parts, and will all be available with optimized re-flash.

Yes you have to overnight your ECU to Works. They re-flash and send it back overnight, and your car is down 2-3 days. This is not that big a deal and the product (W-93) has been in my car for the last 3000 miles without a hitch!

David/Works, if I have mispoken feel free to correct me!
