Boost Control....
I talked to WORKS and they told me within a week it will be ready.
Sounded like approx 20 HP peak gain. 10-20 throughout rpm range.
They also said they will notify Brainflash customers as soon as it's ready.
Take care

Isn't that their claim WITHOUT boost control?

Oops, supposed to be top secret, but it will be release right around the corner.

Btw Wilson1-you were running the 91 reflash with exhale and aperture previously, right? It sounds like a noticeable difference from the seat of the pants. Can't wait to see the dyno details!

DaveyD,
that would be 20 hp on top of regular Brainflash hp, so looks like about 50 hp total. I'm just repeating what they told me. I don't doubt 20 hp more than Brainflash on top end running 19-20 psi all the way across rpm range. Who knows maybe more.

I guess vishnu should come out with theirs fast because I have been waiting for this since I bought my car, so whoever comes out first will get my business.

Hello guys,
Just got back from work, and driving with the latest P2 boost flash is almost the difference between stock and the original reflash!!!
Power everywhere, and feels almost invincible, gets to 100 in no time, definitely faster in time and feel.
I must say for those who doesnot want any piggybacks, this is the way to go, just kickass.

few questions. what is the cost?
will it work with my turboxs high performance b/c?
when will ti be ready?
and what if i unplug my battery or the ecu gets reset by the factory or something like that?

The Works boost control reflash has been developed to utilize the stock FBC for controlling boost. You could certainly use the turboxs hpbc but it would be defeating the purpose of the reflash as you would be overriding the FBC and using the the stand-alone boost controller.
Just unplugging your battery will not reset the new program code. If this concerns you then just remember the ECU would immediately reset itself when Works sent the ECU back to you in the mail! Just won't happen.
Btw- I asked David w/Works the same question about "what happens if my performance re-flash gets accidently written over by some kind of dealership re-flash?".
David replied that every Works customer has a file that identifies what specific program they are running/paid for. If the re-flash is lost somehow David said that they would re-flash the ecu with the level of program that the customer had originally paid for.
Thats the story I got months ago from David/Works, perhaps someone from Works can comfirm current policy regarding this kind of issue?

N10S,
Yes, still have the aperture, exhale, with the 91map for now, with hks 272/272 and P3 boost flash next.
trev0006,
From the Works engineers, boost held at 19 psi till redline!!
I definitely feel the engine smoother at higher rpms >5000, before, it just feels soughtof sluggish, now, wow, just ridiculous for our evo without anyother mods. I feel that since you have the 3" turboback, your gains may even be more.
