My Works modded Evo on S-Squared dyno in sac

I have the P2 Flash, Exhale AB, and Aperture. Best dyno run was 227hp and 235 torque. 3 runs on S-Squared's new Mustang dyno in Sac.

Assuming a 22.5 % drivetrain loss, this is approx 294 hp at the crank and 303ft/lbs torque.

sound about right?

what do you guys think?

sounds low to me. stock 271 at the fly, and most stock evos i seen post baselines around 220-230whp. that gives a 15-18% drivetrain loss. of course you have to take into account but evo with 210-220 on "real hp" dynos still only yeilds a 18-20% drivetrain loss. if you have a baseline it's a lot easier to see if it's good or not, right now it's just kinda guessing. but with those mods i would think you should have closer to 250-ish whp.

Mustang Dyno = low #s.IMO Comparable to Shiv's dyno #s. Find out what stock Evos dyno and you will have a better gauge to compare. Also the P2 is not about peak #s. Area under the curve and marginal hp drop to redline is what makes the P2 special. P2 and Works rocks but I do like my Stage 1+ better especially when race gas is added into the equation.

Are the rpms out of wack on that dyno sheet. Most P2s don't fall off until close to redline.

Max torque seems about right as far as RPMs go but max HP should be closer to 7000 RPM. It looks like you were cut short on the top end!

Yes, got cut a little short. I failed to tell the guys that my redline should be around 7800 with the P2 flash. (as opposed to the 7200 (or whatever) on the stock gauge) It was the first full day with the dyno and they were probably being a little conservative.

I'm pretty sure the rpm's were ok.

I think that the shape of my curve is very similar to other P2 curves I've seen.

The P2 holds boost well, but I think that the torque curve does go down. It doesn't seem to fall off as much as the xflash or dynoflash

The real question is what does a stock EVO do on this dyno? Then you can overlay the graphs and see actual improvement instead of all of our guesses, educated though they might be.

you were still making power, i say you cut it short by 500 rpms. it will make power all the way to 7800, run it to at least 7500 then see what you make, you can plot the graph at the same rate and come to some conclusion, seems you cut out at 6600. way below Redline. looks like it would be closer to 240 if you had ran it on out.

Stock EVOs I think are making 220 to 225 on the Matrix Mustang Dyno. I came in at 325WHP with cams, gears, and of course the Xede =P
