I had the same issue with the goo on the end of my RC1000 after a couple years. My pump assembly looked like yours, but the injectors had that goo around the ports.

Great info for sure. Ive been solid on the alcohol for almost 2 years & always curious about the fuel system in regards to degradation.

Maybe this proves the Mitsu engineers spec'd the fuel system to withstand the effects of ethanol based fuels

Thanks for the detailed report and the excellent photos, Bryan. I think this is one of those times where 'pictures are worth a 1,000 words'.

IMNSHO, the only good reason for not running E85 in your EVO is unavailability.
