Help for a ECUflash noob

I have been trying to connect to ECUflash but for some reason the program is not recognizing the ECU. I have the black OpenPort1.3U cable (both plugs plugged in). I have been flashed using ECUTek previously so I have the ECUlocker program by Malibu Jack running in the background but that didnt help out. Anyone have any advice for me?? Thanks.

Did you open the unlocker BEFORE opening ECUflash?

Do you have all the drivers correctly installed?

I opened the unlocker locker before ECUflash but I am not sure if the drivers are installed correctly...I installed them as recommended by windows. I believe I installed the driver associated with ECUflash V1.29

what is the error message? I think you may not able to read EcuTek from ECU due to the license protection but you should able to overwriting it with new map from EcuFlash.
