I just downloaded ecuflash 1.34. I can not connect with the evo viii that I am trying to flash. I think it may be the program. But I am not sure. I can log the car just fine with both evoscan and mitsulogger.

But I can not read or flash to the ecu. Does anyone have any ideas that would help me fix this.

 

does it show the icons to read or flash??? or they aren't there?? when my icons weren't there it was because it had to reinstall drivers for that version.

 

It shows the Icons. It then gives me an error message that says the interface failed. I think the cable may be broken. I know the big cable allows you to log and the smaller on, tells the ecu to let you read and write.

 

there are pins bent??...well have you tried using an older version of ecuflash?

 

Try with another cable. Since the logging part of the cable is working there is a good chance the flashing plug is just busted.

 

you need an ECUunlocker to acces it!

open the unlocker 1st, before the ECUFlash............

 

already tried the ecu unlocker....nothing

 

you may have the universal cable (the one that suppose to work for both Mitsubishi and Subaru) which doesn't work with EcuFlash above 1.29a for some reason.

I just helped my friend reflashing his evo last week and that is what happened. I have the Mitsubishi specific one and it works great but his universal wont but it worked on older version 1.29a.

G20 and Kreionic........Thanks for the help. Kreionic the link did not work. I was able to get a copy of 1.29 anyway. Version 1.29 worked.

i am having a similar problem. i downloaded 1.34 and the icons are not bold. i reinstalled and the samething.
