Buy the hose with the gauge to check if its full or not. I recharged mine awhile ago but can't remember.

yea you really need to get the guage on it. the pressure depends on ambient temperature and if you overfill it you get warm air as well. auto zone has a can for about $30 with a guage and hose. thats a good place to start.

It will only take one can unless...... you have a hole in your A/C line! Then it will take 1 can, green dye all over your engine compartment, 2 hours of cleaning, replacement of hose, and then 1 more can.

awesome. thanks for the info guys, its much appreciated. I have access to a shop and gauge and all that so I will start there. So I am getting from this that I should check the pressure with the the system running, but does it need to be on a particular setting ( e.g 1-4, max a/c, etc...)? My apologies if these are simple questions, I just know absolutely nothing about HVAC, lol. I did see a kit at Autozone that comes with 2 cans, gauge and its a mixture that has a "stop leak" in the even that there is a slight light leak, and its around $50
