Widge,
Here are a few pics of where we generally install our knock sensor and the M10x1.25-to-M8x1.25 adapter bolt I offer. I installed it on an Evo that is currently apart at the shop for easier viewing. This is mounted on the front of the engine block, below the exhaust manifold. The location is awesome for picking up even the most minor knock occurances. I generally hit the bung with a file or sandpaper to get the flattest mounting surface possible so I have greater surface area for the sensor and I also chase the threads with a M10x1.25 tap first since that bung isn't used and the threads rust rather quickly. I also put some anti-seize in the hole and toss a cheap bolt in it after I am done so the next time I need it, its all good and ready to go. There are a few spots on the backside of the block too if space is limited up front. I know your happy with your setup but I figure I would share anyways.

What about the heat from the exhaust, have you had any dramas with that yet? Melting the cable?
how much again for that bolt? Shipped to NSW 2262?
Thanks mate
