Any help would be appreciated as the weather is getting colder and OL warmup would fix my problem

tsitalon1, based on reading an 88590015 disassembly you might want to see whether address 11AA rather than address 11AE provides the control you need. You should be able to log short term fuel trim and coolant temperature to show that the STFT is 0 below the threshold and then starts changing rapidly (based on O2 sensor input) once the coolant temperature reaches/exceeds the threshold.

I'll try this and report back.

Rich, how did the testing go?

I can't test as I have to send the tranny off to get rebuilt.

Also trying to adjust thermo main /ac fan cycle. 05 evo 8 5spd. Fan randomly turns on when engine is cold. AC on or off, but just main fan infront of turbo.

Any help?

Email for pics of ecuflash/tephra graph

Possibly the fan control or pwm unit bolted to the fan housing itself

This is for the startup OL to CL switchover point.

Changing the address to 11AA has seemed to work, although I haven't done any datalogs to prove it. but it does actually stay in open loop for a minute or two upon first start where before it was within 10 seconds.

This is great news!

Now I'll have to wait to test mine until my tranny gets back.

I think I would agree with WytWun (Andy) that 11AA is the true address.
It is 11AA on the 8857 ROM.

11AE would be Closed-Loop reintroduction time after decel fuel-cut (I think - maybe).

For clarification, do you mean the 8859 Rom?

Rich and I are both on 8859.
