How can I log boost on a 7?
Ok so I have searched but I have some specific questions. I need to log boost because tuning with the boost gauge is just not cutting it anymore. I'm running Tephra V7 of 90550001
1) I know there is a JDM MAP sensor I can use. If I was to switch out my sensor with this part do I need to do any ROM mods? I can't find any info about mods needed for my ROM.
2) Can I use PSI based boost control on my ROM? I don't think I can but just want to confirm
3) With the sensor is it just plug in and start logging or will I need to change some formulas and/or requests in Evoscan?
any help is appreciated guys.

Depending on the rom you may or may not need to modify the xml to log boost with a map sensor. Use this link as a guide. But if you're not comfortable modifying xmls just go to a tuner to help you out.

Yeah I've just been through that thread and answered the first question of mine.
Still don't have answers for PSI based boost control and Evoscan formulas.
Any help?

I am assuming you have a 3 port boost controller to tweak your wastegate duty cycle for psi based boost. What about the evoscan formulas do you need help with? It's basically all calibrated already just need to put in your atmosphere pressure based on your elevation. I'll see if i can find more tools/links to help you.

yep have a GM 3 port. Don't have the MAP sensor yet but just wanna figure out what I need to do and if its all gonna work before I buy it, that's all.
So if I get an evo X MAP sensor will that work? Plug and play?
For Evoscan, which variable will it be? I seem to have a few for boost: JDM MAP, MAP, BOOST, each have different MUT requests

You will most likely use jdm map since the evo x map sensor is 3 bar like the jdm map sensor. I'm using the omni map for boost as i have an omni 4 bar map sensor. The rom I'm using didn't need xml changes so it was literally plug and play. I did add a couple xml scripts to the evoscan data settings in order to get certain columns to show up. Read the bottom of post number 2 in the link I provided.
