r2 cams Aaron. I actually like them a lot. Minus in parking lots. Just hit 12k miles on the 2.3. Shes alive and well. race gas tune is absurd. I think its time for meth sooon. To fix my pump gas problem.
Unfortunately i dont have any track times yet. Only day i ran trees where down. And it was on pump.

Yeah Cali 91 is kind of a problem. The Meth will make it more fun on the daily.

The 467 was done on C16, the 387 was on WA 89 since its the closest we have to Cali 91. I need to redo this thread but after doing a 2.3L, ported head, and adding R2s the car made significantly more power. Below was the same fuel but the bigger more efficient motor, 89 octane as pumpgas and C16 for racefuel.

Didn't think the Red would fall off that much up top. How's the 2.3 without balance shafts? I'm going through the keep them/don't keep them debate right now.

The SS housing is definitely helping with top end power in this setup. Aaron told me to expect less power up top if I build a 2.3 with the TS MHI housing in my red. But it will have better response down low. Always a trade off.

Sorry. I meant I was surprised that even at 60# a min, hp starts falling at 6500.

Probably a combination of using C16 instead of E85, and the turbo running out of breath or succumbing to back pressure. Still looks like an AWESOME powerband. A lot like a BBK Full or Blouch 1.0xt on a 2.0L, except the curves just got moved up...lol
