Evo 4-6 4g vs USDM Evo 8 4g63

Hey guys, I am currently starting a project i tried starting two years ago when funds were low. I want to swap a 5g mirage to Evo 6. Again I live in California where the motor swap will need to be Bar'd. I know with 5G mirages, the Evo 4-6 engine harness will have to be used as its a plug and play with the dash and interior harness. I already know what needs to be swapped to make it AWD or FWD so its not that kind of question. The main question I have is if the Evo 5/6 4g63T share the same Sensors as the USDM Evo 8? Also when I Bar'd my civic for a B16a2 swap, they checked the block number, the head number and ecu. Does the Evo 5-8 all have the same number stamps that would look the same to the technician? I have found its way cheaper to buy a 5/6 motor and trans with X case for the mirage rather than piecing together an 8 motor and trans. If there is any differences, please list them here between the two. I don't mind getting the Emission stuff to make the 5/6 motor work as long as I know for sure that the numbers and such are all the same. Thanks
-Shane

Sensors are similiar and you can get them to work with a Tephra modded Evo 8 ecu. Same "number stamps"

I've got a ton of Evo IV stuff sitting around including a shortblock, the harness is clipped and missing a few plugs but if you need me to look at anything specifically or are looking for something let me know.

It will not have the same numbers, it is not a VIII block. Each variation block has individual letters/numbers to identify it. What you will have is a serial number stamped into the block in the same location as your VIII. Whether or not that is acceptable in your state, I cannot answer.

Where is this head number you speak of?
