Water temp slowly increasing to 100c
Hi guys!
I have forward facing turbo setup and half size radiator with Spal fan. Today sitting in slow moving traffic my water temperature slowly reacted to 100c even the fan is on. This is the 3rd times I let it hit 100c temp then I quickly turn off my car to let it cool down.
The question is have I done any damage to my engine with 100c water temperature? Have I done any damage?
Please help

I assume you have an aftermarket gauge that is actually reading temps, and not just the oem gauge on the cluster? 100 deg C is starting to get up there in temps, but heat from the exhausts of cars in front of you, plus if it happened to be particularly warm, plus running a smaller than oem radiator, can all add to your temps creeping up a bit higher. That temp isn't in the danger zone yet. Now, If you started getting closer to 107 deg c then I would definitely shut it down before it spiked any higher. To answer your other question, no I don't think you did any damage with those coolant temps.
