Help with revised timing chain
Hey i have an 08 evo x 22k miles and getting ready to put the motor together. My chain is completely fine but since the motor is already apart i thought of purchasing the new one to prevent dealing with the chain stretching in the near future, is that the best thing to do or will my original chain work just fine. Also if i do decide in getting the new chain is it a direct replacement or are there other parts or procedures needed in order to install the new chain?

It should be a direct replacement, buy you must also do the oil pump chain, both have to be done at the same time, then make sure you go to the dealer and have the the timing chain values re-learned. There was a how-to video for training mitsu techs that explains the whole process, you may want to watch that, its very informative. I'll see if I can find you the link
