There is a TSB for this relay although I cannot find it at this moment other than to say I went in to dealership to just pay outright for the "green" relay (~$38) and they told me that there is a TSB for "idle problems" and replaced the relay on warranty. The replacement is exactly the same one as that for the headlights; for some reason, Mitsu used a different relay for the fuel pump from the factory but are now replacing same with the "green" relay.
As a side note, when I went in today for some installs, I was told Mitsu asked to have my OEM "black" relay, removed earlier as per above, returned to them directly for testing. Why is Mitsu so interested in this relay if it is just for a problem with idling?
The failure of this relay has been suggested as a possible cause for engine failures due to lean conditions on modified and relatively stock X's (see https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...misfiring.html).
