Jake's 06 ES Lancer Build

Well the weather is looking pretty good here in Colorado and I decided to start the build. I think I have everything and I tried to keep track of everything I bought. I've put a list of items I bought below with prices. I'll try to post up pics as I go but if not I'll definitely post them up when I get a chance. I'm sure I'll run into snags and I hope to get everything bolted up by saturday. I'm not sure how much I spent you can add it up but I'm sure its over $3000.00 The 06 lancer is a bit different than the 02-03 so I'll explain why I bought different items (evo dash).

Pic of the Speed Corps Manifold ceramic coated (pic was sent by Carlos of Tirado Custom Coatings). Carlos did a great job on the manifold. I would definitely recommend them, there also evom vendors . I mated the manifold and turbo today and that one bolt with a tight fit fought it the whole time but I finally did it. I'll show a better pic when I get a chance. It was pretty difficult trying not to scratch the manifold but its gunna happen. I'm gunna go to my bros house tomorrow and have him break the down pipe bolts loose. Hopefully it will be easy because I installed a catback this year and breaking it loose wasn't so fun then.

thats the same problem that jrr had when he put an 04-06 tranny in his 02, thats the down side of guys with who have a manual 04-06 who want to go the 16g route, but only way around it would be to swap to an 02-03 tranny or do what one guy did and use an kia slave with some custom work, im not sure who it was but they had a thread on it here

I already pm'd JRR and Burner. If I can get the bracket and its easy to install that would be great. It was a big downer when I seen that intake blocked

Just thought I'd post a pic of my turbo/manifold/etc. The pic was a little bigger but I had to crop it to make it upload (file was too big). Carpet is a little dirty from new windows we installed today

Well I'm gunna call it a night and think about my options for the external slave. Also, I have a gravel drive way and was wondering how difficult it would be to swap in a 02-03 manual transmission. I've never taken a tranny off anything. I'm sure I can find a 02-03 transmission around the area if I can find a motor. Also what will I need to swap the tranny (flywheel, tob, & clutch?) I might as well put a clutch in if I go that route.

Thanks,
Jake

Im fairly sure everything will transfer. Just need an 02/03 housing. Gotta say man if thats got ya down you haven't seen anything yet Im lucky to have 03 within a couple hour drive but even so he can tell you how frustrated I've been :-p and he's already done this once haha...Plan for a lot bigger frustrations.
