02 Oz Spark plugs
Well im going to replace the spark plugs for my first time on the lancer and I dont know which ones to get I was thinking of getting the NGK iridium ones which are gapped at .044. I have heard that you shouldn't regap iridium plugs but as the manual states spark plug gap should be .039 to .043 in would it matter if I just put the plugs at .044?

Yes that's fine. It's true that iridium plugs should not be regapped. The difference between .043 (upper end of the spec) and .044 is so miniscule you would be hard pressed to see it even under a microscope.

Spark Plug Part No. Stock No. Plug Gap
Standard BKR5ES-11 2382 .044
V-Power BKR5E-11 6953 .044
G-Power BKR5EGP 7090 .044
Laser Platinum PFR5J-11 * 4642 .044
OE Laser Iridium IFR5E11 ^ # 7994 .044
Iridium IX BKR5EIX-11 5464 .044
I used just the standard BKR5ES-11 as it is the stock plugs in our cars. Using the iridium plugs with a +.01 difference will not be noticeable at all.
