First of all... do you really think that it's only going to cost you 2500 to swap a 4g63 into your Lancer? I highly doubt it... your car isn't a Honda. One guy on here had a shop swap a 4g63 out of an EVO6 into his 04 Lancer... and ended up spending upwards of 10k and was out of his ride for 8 or so months.

Second... what is it that you have against the 4g94? I've seen some rather quick turboed 4g94 Lancers whoop on modified EVOs...

If you really are intent on swapping... make sure you 1) have the money to do so... and I'm talking A LOT of money; 2) have A LOT of patience; 3) do your research OTHER than asking people here since most of the people here don't really know how to answer your question; 4) DO IT YOURSELF with the help of a great mechanic/fabricator to keep costs down; 5) make sure that you have a set plan on what you need to obtain and what needs to go into your car to make this swap work.

In the end... you're better off just building up the 4g94 and turbo it. Less work, more cost-effective and less down time. If that doesn't satisfy you... perhaps you need to get into a more powerful car.

frist of all im talking about the 4g64 the eclipse motors HELL OF ALOT CHEAP all priced it all please read before you post

and why spend over 3 to 5 grand on a motor that will only get over 300 hp rather spend it on a new motor the 4g94 is a good little motor if you guys use it for daily driving but if you want a motor that can handle the power get the 4g64

Ok then... good luck with that. Oh yeah, while I'm still here laughing about this, I know the guy whose swap you're trying to copy. And he did have problems... but you wouldn't know that because you obviously didn't do your research.

But like I said... good luck!

Why push more than 300 hp through a FWD car that A. doesn't have an LSD, B. can't run especially wide tires (215s max) and C. doesn't have a transmission designed to handle high power? Just something to think about. There's a reason why you don't see a lot of 300 hp lancers and it's not a lack of time, money or desire.

Well put... but then again you will have guys that insist on having brute power over common sense. Oh well...

I usually just pass over threads like this. Word of advice dude, if you're going to ask a question don't be a smart *** to the ones who obviously are more aware then you are.

I'm a put up or shut up kinda person, so research and talk threads only get me so far.

Good luck on the build and let us know how it goes.
