i have a 03 lancer ES just for a family car and the service engine soon light came on so i had a tune up done on it then reset the computer then the next morning it came back on so i changed sparked plugs and now its back any one have this problem or know how to fix it?

Well find out the code first.... go to an auto zone and let them scan ur car next time the light comes on... they do it for free

i have the same car, there's a good possibility that it's "Fault Code P0421" and that has to do with the "warm-up catalyst" not being warm enough, it's your catalytic converter (the first one) and it's more than likely shot.

to my knowledge, Mitsubishi was replacing them as long as your car was under 80,000 miles, call up your dealer.

ok so if you do the drive cycle for your specific vehicle and for that code it should reset your not ready and make it a ready and turn off your engine light.. I have the cycle for the 02 lancer oz rally. It may work for you but you can go to the dealer and ask for a printout of the specific drive cycle for your vehicle and they should give it to you for free. IF not tell them there a bunch of crooks and the stealership should burn! HEHE J/k
