tail lights...need help
so, I got the tail lights in finally, they look better in person than I thought they would so that's good. Only issue now is I can't get them on! I was in an accident 3 years ago, rear ended by a drunk driver, and when they fixed up the rear, apparently they figured I would never have to take the tail lights off. The left one, instead of the pins, they somehow put a bolt in there, so I have to squeeze in there and get that out, no big deal, but the other side is worse. They used what looks like rubber sealant or something around the pins and it's rock hard and they wont move. I tried chipping away at it with a hammer and screw driver, nothing. So does anyone know how to loosen up rubber sealant? I was thinking maybe using a lighter, and trying to melt it? Any ideas?
