Made my tail lights all red.

I didn't like the Orange tinted turn signals in our tail lights, so I decided to tint them red.

I can't seem to figure out the best way to upload without problems at the moment (still new user here haha) so maybe you can see it in my public Flickr album.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

It's legal here in the states. Many cars come with all red taillights, as long as reverse lights are clear.

Where are you located?

This forum's platform is so old, it's painful to upload images/photos...

Basically you have two options:

1. Either upload all of photo(s) First to a image bucket-service (Flickr, Picasa, etc) AND then go to those images individually... get their URL-Link(s) & past them here into your post/thread.

or,
2. Upload each image, one at a time from your desktop to your post...

A major hassle either way!

Western Canada - BC and Alberta. I am pretty sure the Uniform Traffic Code does not allow for red signals anywhere in NA. I'll check... BTW, the lenses can be clear; that is not the issue. The issue is having a turn signal that could be mistaken for a brake light. My earlier thread on "I Have Seen the Light" talks to this.

I tried copy and pasting the Flickr URL but it won't stick for some reason. Again, I am on mobile. I will try desktop though.

Thanks for the info!

Interesting! And I will check out your thread too. I'm always up to learn new things.

So Corvettes, Vipers, etc have orange/yellow turn signals for the rear up in Canada?

I just checked out couple of cars during my commute home here in Montreal, Canada. The following cars had red turn signals on the back:
Audi Q7, Q5
Toyota Sienna
Hyundai Tucson, older Santa Fe.
Check out the following Canadian video at 3:10.

I do not think that either red or amber turn signal (on the back) is mandated here in this side of the pond. There are many cars with both colored indicators. I personally favor amber and hate those red ones that are coupled to the taillight/brake light. The ones way low in the bumper like on the Kia Sprtage and Infinity QX50 (EX) are the worst regardless of color. One can only see them from a distance. In city traffic (waiting at the red light for example) they are not visible from the car behind.

While I can't comment on the presence of cars with red rear turn lights, they are illegal pretty much everywhere except the US. At least according to TC and NHTSA and the DoT. FMVSS Part. 108 which regulates vehicle lighting permits amber or red turn signals. The standard used everywhere else in the world only permits amber. BTW, amber is proven safer.
