Opinions on the Evo 8 Steering Wheel: It's great cause it's from an Evo and complete's that look from the driver's perspective. It also has a functioning airbag. The horn button is a little difficult to get to when you are rushed. Not sure if it's smaller or not. I know there are pictures to compare the two, but to me, I didn't notice much of a difference. I personally like the stock 3 spoke steering wheel in my Spyder though.

It's got 146k miles on it right now. Bought it 1 month ago with 144k miles on it. 1 owner and the timing belt, water pump, valve gasket, and tires were changed out 10k miles ago. It did have a bunch of issues, but I've pretty much resolved all of them now, except for the minor dents and whatnot.

No turbo. Not planning on tuning it either because it's my new daily driver/long distance commuter car. The wheels arlready spin enough in first gear with the cheapo tires I have on there.

I did spraypaint the inside of my grill support a flat black color with a high-temp bbq grill spraypaint I had lying around the house. Looks ok, but I still want the badge. Need to figure out a way to jimmy-rig it on once I get it. The front end of the Lancer sorta reminds me of a Civic.

Might consider getting the windows tinted to 35%, but I'm still debating on it. Trying to keep the stealth look, although the Evo wing won't help much once I get that installed. It should be coming in sometime next week.

I might have a set of OZ Rally front seats with brackets along with an Evo 8 rear seat that has 2 cigarette burn holes. The Evo 8 rear seats will bolt on with a bit of modification to the support hooks (swap the Lancer hooks with the Evo hooks), but you lose functionality of the rear seats folding down. Not sure how I feel about that yet. I may just bolt the Evo rear seat on my car if I move my NOS Bazooka subwoofer tube over to the Lancer (yes, I know it's kinda rice).

Do the tint! Mine sits at 35 and I love it. I plan on going darker once I get an evo though, I always wish I had gone darker. Car looks great though.

New mods:
* OEM Evo 9 MR Radio/HVAC Bezel Cover (gunmetal gray)
* Ordered a 270mm Broadway Rear View Mirror (I have a 240mm, but it's too small)
* Painted Evo 8 Wing should be coming before the end of the week

Future mods:
* Mitsubishi Diamond Badges - They're like $30 each, yuck
* Short Antenna + Not sure how I feel about getting a vortex generator spoiler thing
* Depo Evo 7 Style Tail Lights - $100. Prefer these over the Evo 8 Style because of the crappy clear bordering
* Evo 8 OEM Gauge Cluster
* May look for a super cheap single din navigation headunit (a Clarion is sub $500)

* Purchased HVAC Sticker cause I messed up the old one transferring it to my Evo 9 MR Faceplate

I agree with the badge thing. i have that grill. and i hate seeing the hood latch through it. it's one of the first cars i thought about hood pins of some kind just to get rid of that.

Nice. Where did you get the wheels at? Or did you paint the stock rims?

I just painted my stock wheels yesterday. Took me most of the day since it was 100* outside and I took lots of breaks. I used 1.2 cans of Gray Duplicolor Wheel Paint, and maybe .5 can of Duplicolor Wheel Clearcoat. Lightly sanded the wheels with 350 grit sandpaper, sprayed 2 coats of Gray paint, and then 1 coat of clearcoat. I used .5 roll of wide painters tape to tape the sidewalls (didn't tape or cover the tire tread) and came out ok. It helps blend the wheels in with the body of the car to hide the fact they are only 15". I may go with a set of 17x7 6 spoke wheels in the future, but only when these tires are toast.

Installed my short antenna today. Looks a little thin, but it gets the job done. My Depo Evo 7 tail lights should be here by the end of the week along with my OEM Evo 9 front badge + assembly plate. I might be getting a B&M short shifter from an Eclipse GSX. I think I'll be done modifying it for awhile after that.

*Edit* Just bought a Fujita Cold Air Intake
