I have a silver 02 Lancer LS on white 17s. I want to smoke out the tail lights black. How would that look.? Does anyone have something similar.?

i have to agree with **** on this one. but show us some pics and prove us wrong. smoked tailights look really good man. all you can do is try it and see how you like it. worst case scenario you have to strip them and put new clear on them. no biggie.

^^ Don't have any pics right now but I found this. He has the Rota Grids which I'm planing on buying. Only thing is I'm debating if I should buy those white ones or buy the black ones with the red lip. That's another decision I'm still not sure about too. Idea's on that.?

 

They look OK but I would really go for the black ones.

 

i have a white lancer and smoked the tail lights black. Id show you but my taillights arent stock, their evo clear ones so it wouldnt represent what you wanna do to yours.

 

The black rims have a red lip. You don't think that would clash with the other colors.?

 

Black and silver are pretty neutral colors, so I don't think red would clash. I wouldn't put a red lip on a blue car for example, but on silver it should look fine, especially if you left some red in your taillights and maybe only tinted the clear part

 

a red lip isnt hard to paint either so if you get those and dont like the red just get it painted black to match
