I get on here a lot and just realized I haven't really updated what all I have been doing to the car since the last time I painted it. So here it goes:
Over the summer I installed a sri I bought off a local member

but had the unfortunate incident of having my car broken into. They smashed the back passenger window and popped my front passenger door handle off. So went to the junk yard and just got a whole new door for the back and door handle for the front. I pasti - dipped the door white to match the rest of the car. While I was out there in found a gauge cluster to an Oz Rally and went a head and picked it up as well and installed it. So done and done.
Sadly the people did get away with my two 12 inch kicker subs that were in a ported box and a 1000 watt nitro amp. . So i put in some old subs I had and a new boss 800 watt amp. Again done and done.
It's a bit of a roller coaster ride after this. A couple of weeks later I'm driving to pick my gf up and this dude comes out from a stop sign and runs Into me. Tears up my front bumper. Breaks headight, window washer resvoir, bends hood, and fender.

So at this point I'm pretty devastated because I was only about a week and half away from leaving my home town to go back to my college town and I had my car broken into and then an accident. But mitsubishi always prevail. I go the other guys insurance adjuster the next morning and they rght me a check for like 1500 since it was his fault and I go off the the junk yards again. I Find a set of headights, bumbper, fender and resvoir, but more importantly my new prized possession

A carbon fiber evo 7 style hood from vis racing. Only 55 dollars.
Needles to say I was very excited and got it all back together and paint within a couple of days. My brother and I even added hood pins on the back of the hood where it would normally bolt in because we couldn't get it to close straight. But I love it because now I can pop the whole hood off when I'm working on it. I put it on top of the car and just like to see people's reaction when I do it. I also installed a new alternator and belt once I got up to school. So yeah I think that's about it. Another picture for fun though :

very nice start! You should take a photo a little bit farther away next time just so we can have a clearer picture!

I'd like to learn how to build and engine. So I'm torn between a new stronger 4g94 or a 4g69 swap with the harness and ecu.

Ok, sounds good. Whichever way you go should be fine. The 4G69 is probably a bit better because you're starting off with a bit more horses.

I think you should leave it as it is. Hood pins with that hood....to me it seems like a bit too much.

Thanks for your input silent, it was actually almost necessary to have them because after I got into my accident the hood wouldn't bolt on straight
