quick question to remove the stock head unit what do i need are there "keys " required to pull it out (the 2 things that slide in on the side to pull out the unit .I plan on retaining stock head unit and running line level converters to my amp

 

No special tools needed to remove the stock head unit. It's very easy to do. Remove the A/C knobs, remove the screws that are underneath the knobs. Carefully pry off the trim around the head unit and A/C controls. Easy.
