OK I was wondering if Boost and or vacuum Pressure Gauge can be installed on non turbo Lancers. And what is the difference between Boost and Vacuum sensors.

yes you can hook a boost gauge up to a N/A car it would just be like having a vac gauge

a/f gauge is useless
voltage gauage is useless
vac gauge is semi-useless

oil pressure is not too expensive.. compare to a/f is about the same

Joe, thats not exactly helpful. Like I told you before...I'd like the volt gauge for when the car is at show's and the stereo is goin' so I can keep an eye on it. And the A/F gauge is purely for show but I would still like it functional.

Do you have the diagram for the harness?

a/f: ever tune a car to get the right fuel supply? its about the most commonly changed attribute. thats what the the RRM piggy does, but its still a bit rich for 93oct (which is what i use). i would use this more than anything, especially between dyno runs

voltage: yea, useless

vac: pretty important if you ask me, especially if u wana change compression or spray or do any intake manifold/plenum work.

a/f is $90. electronic oil pres /w sender is $350. i dont see how thats about the same....unless u want a mechanical and run hot oil into the cab and worry about all the extra piping

ok no gauge is useless. I run a volt gauge in my car off my turbo timer best thing ever the warning indicator comes on at 11.3 V for when i listen to music with the car off for hours in my shop each gauge isnt useless its just what u need what for etc...

certain gauges are better then others like a narrow abnd and wideband o2 gauges etc.... like to me a wideband o2 gauge is useless unless it does dataloggging...

on the o2 sensor theres 4 wires u want the blue wire is the signal one is signal ground and other 2 are the heater wires....

on autometer a/f gauges the signal is purple so put purple to blue for example...

Thanks

whats the differance between normal and wideband o2 for the A/F??? and how can you tell???
I am think about gettin a/f, oil temp, oil pressure. are theses good combo?

Also it says i need to connect the positive wire to a ignition switch how am i supposed to do that? Can i just get a add-a fuse and connect all 3 gauges to one of the fuses in the fuse box?

i should have put my thoughts into context.. in a car with limited space, the three gauges shown would be my LAST choices, hence uselessness.. i have space for 5 gauges and my top three was oil pressure (no oil pressure, no oil to the engine, kaboom), oil temp (did you know that our car overheats the oil under constant mivec? didn't huh? i do.. ), and water temp (not at the rad, but at the block.. overheating indicator)

for your info, i DO have a voltage gauge, but it's on the shelf until i get a spot for it and i am saving the last spot for the AEM wideband or boost gauge..

i really wanted to get EGT and IAT (exhaust and intake temps, respectively), that's why the new gauge pod hasn't been installed yet

i have tuned at least 5 V-AFCs and the narrowband o2 that comes stock on the cars are FREAKING USELESS.. you have to go to a dyno with a wideband.. but it's a very nice light show though

i am not sure which brand you brought, but i got stewart warner oil pressure and it was less than $100 cad.. granted it only has 90 degree sweep, but most of my readings are from 40 (idle) to 100 (full out) anyway, which is within range

the vacuum one i said it's semi-useless .. it's a nice indicator.. not much else.. you really can't tell if one of your vaccum hoses are lose or that there is a problem.. and it's also too dependant on where you tap into your vacuum system

the voltage gauge.. if you guys are running your car stereo without the engine running, you should consider running a charger.. when i say useless, i meant when the car is being driven.. if the volts go low enough, the car stalls anyway
