I know... I've heard that you have to do that when intalling Progress springs only.

BTW: How's the ride on Teins? I hear they're quite harder than stock... and the compression figures seem to show this too.

They are more stiff than stock, but it's not a dramatic difference, IMO. Nice handling gain, though.

When I first put them on the rear of the car actually sat higher than stock. After a bit of driving they settled. Rear is at about stock height, front is about 1.5" lower. Looks just right. I got my springs used, so I imagine new springs would take longer to settle.

If you are running high or ultra-high perf. tires this summer you might be in for a shock then... but if you're still running on the stock Goodyears it should feel like stock springs on high-perf. rubber I guess...

I hope the ride with the new Kuhmos and the Progress springs won't be too harsh. I'll be make a trip up North (800 Km - 500 miles) in may, so I guess I'll know if I like the ride or not when I get back...

The LM-22's are surprisingly stiff for a winter tire, and they are V-rated (149mph). My summer tires are BFG KDW-2's. They'll probably be put back on within a couple weeks (after I paint the wheels.) Then it's off to get an alignment.

My Pirellis are the stiffest winter tires I've ever ridden on (someone please correct my english - don't think I got this one quite right)... but still, they're no comparison for the summer compound.

What color will you be painting your wheels? And with what kind of paint? Clearcoat or no clearcoat? I've got to see the finished product...

I'll make a thread in S&S once I paint my wheels and finish up a couple other things. They'll be metallic black w/clear coat.

You shouldn't have any problems on your road trip. I did a 2000-mile round-trip out to Colorado and back on Progress springs, RRM rear swaybar & perches, upper and lower tie bars, and BFG KDW2s, and loved every minute of it. Even Nebraska.

You know we have the worst roads on North-America right? Cold weather and really bad engineering standards... a deadly combination.
