Headlamp Replace?

Has anyone here replaced a headlamp on a 2004 Ralliart? My wife's got smashed by road debris, and I ordered a replacement...I was hoping to find pictures, but even a description of the steps would be great too. Main question...does the bumper have to come off?

Thanks!

just curious, but what headlights do you have that aren't DOT approved?

thanks for the help guys! - i looked everywhere for a guide but couldnt find anything!!! thank you sooo soo much!

the dealership would be a rip off to go and get this done, so I hope my dad can do this (he should he's a diesel mechanic!) - or a good guy friend lol -

as far as my headlights, the ones I currently have on were purchased on Ebay a couple years ago, i passed inspection w/ them before w/o any problems, and now I failed! .. i think they are OEM ones (from China?) they dont have that amber side peice -- idk, i started a thread with them back in like 2005!

I bought a new set, from racepages.com -- they are a black housing projector set.. the guy said they are DOT certified so I hope n pray to pass inspection this time lol!

*** I have one concern, how many of those push-pin clip things do we have? and can I get replacements from pep-boys? or do i have to go to the dealership? Mine are so worn out they are about to break... is there a specific size? and what are these called? if someone can let me know, I'd really appreciate it!

just take one of the clips out and go to autozone or pepboys or whatever and ask them for those size clips. The dealership does have them, but even for those tiny plastic pieces they charge a lot for it... I taken off my front bumper so many times now, I'm a pro at it. I seriously could do it in less than 5 minutes! but good luck with it!
