Sound System Help!

I wanted to buy a new amp to replace the old amp under my driver seat that came with the ralliart sns package...does anyone know any good amps that could power the 4 speakers and 2 tweeters?

The tweeters are tied into the front speaker circuit. You could use a 4-channel amp for those, and a single or dual channel to run the sub.

Do you still have the stock HU in? Keeping it in? The only trouble I forsee is the fact that the stock HU interfaces with the stock amp with a DIN cable. I know they make a adapter to connect the factory amp to an aftermarket deck, but I dont know if anyone has made one to connect the factory HU to an aftermarket amp.

Soundgate makes adapters for both ends of the DIN cable, so aftermarket amp with stock deck is doable

Replacing the amp will be good if you are looking to replace the speakers as well, the stock amp is power matched with the stock speakers, so if you want to get the most our of your system, you should definatly replace the components up from and the coaxials in back..

Not always true. You can buy a new amp and match what the stock one was pushing to the stock speakers. If you are wanting to push more to the sub then all it is a little tuning to get the sound you want without blowing the stock speakers.

It sounds like soundgate adapters all the way around would be the easiest, or a full rewire would be needed. I would think your new speakers should sound great with the existing amp.
Personaly, what I am going to do, is use the adapter at the HU, leave the rest of the S&S alone, and run a sub amp off the sub preout. That would be the easiest, and still sound good. The way I see it, you spent good money on the S&S package, you might aswell use it and enjoy it.
You have to post picks when you are done the install, I so want to see the dvd in dash!
