i was wondering how to replace the tweeters that came with the infinity sound package...if anyone has any advice in replacing them that would be great!

Of course, you must remove the trim first...


FRONT PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL

Release the clip to pull towards the direction shown in the illustration and remove the front pillar trim.

without the S&S package, is there still tweeters therE?

Supposedly, yes... since it's sold as a 6 speakers system. The manual doesn't state this is only for the S&S package, which usually means we all have it.

I guess the base system doesn't get tweeters as good as the infinity package though...

yeah the base system, what i have, has 6 speakers but it doesnt have the upgraded speaker. ( well mine is upgraded now ! )

 

Yes, there is tweeters there. And I believe they're the same as what is in the S&S package. As far as i know the only speakers that change w/ that package is the door and rear deck speakers.

BTW, Joe, I guess you forgot that I had tweets when you helped w/ the gauges. hehe

 

Removing the stock tweeters is a breeze. Installing new ones, not so much. I ended up drilling some fresh holes in my a-pillar and mounting it that way.
