He also hooked me up with a $1600 all-Alpine systen for $1000 . But hope it works out good for ya...
Did your auxilary cable control your iPod and charge it while it was plugged in? to me its worth it

I just bought the Kenwood kdc-mp889 for a whole 300 bucks shipped directly from Japan. Brand new man. It sounds awsome.

Not too bad. I really think Alpines are great buy they pack less features than other similarly priced units. .02 cents

He is wrong. You just need an adapter.

If you have the Sun and Sound package, then you will have to get the speakers re-wired, and you will lose the sub.

Please correct me if I'm wrong!

I've looked on here and found that all you need is a cable that goes from one single connector to two pair of rca's which hook up to your new HU as long as it has 2 preouts. I figured the sub would be connected to the rear speakers as it is when you fade to the rear. I'll keep everyone posted because I need ot have a mp3 player I hate having to burn cds all the time.

WoRkZ posted this in the other HU thread I started, anyone that could explain that "Replace OEM factory HU" "how-to" that they have there in 1 sentance please do. I'd like to know if I should just install this myself or screw it and take it back.

I don't understand if this installs at the amp or up behind the HU and wtf that blue wire does. please

blue wire is usually power antenna which you connect to power your amp.

Use #1: Replacing the OEM (factory) radio
Replace the factory "INFINITI" Radio with a higher quality aftermarket radio. The interface connects into the male 6 pin DIN plug that is normally plugged into the OEM (factory) head unit. The interface BLUE wire is then used as the remote turn-on lead for the OEM (factory) amplifier."
