Fog lights

I am chasing pics and ideas of the front bar without the fog lights I have searched thru the pics above and all of the cars have the fog lights.... I removed the dirvers side cover and removed one of the plastic pieces in there so that air can flow easily into the engine bay but when I did the passenger side I did not like what i saw - a partial painted frame of the car, alternator pulley and water bottle would deffinately preferr not to see these things even from a distance so I am chasing other ideas and pics of what others have done

yeah I am thinking of having to use some very fine black mesh to replace the fog light covers but they can be a pain in the A to keep nice the other option is find a really nice person who can fabricate something in aluminium to coverit up but have some soprt of central design so that air can pass thru.... just want to see what others have done

trade your foglights to an 04-05 non RA lancer, and get their black plastic piece that goes in place of the fogs.

Fogs

no fogs

I'm not sure why some people hate the fogs, I'm trilled to have fogs. maybe its cause i like having them in blizzards and downpours, especially blizzards so I don't have to put on the high beams and get blinded

The fogs are nice, I don't see why you wouldn't want them.

If you must have that air tho, I guess a mesh insert would be the best bet.

The model car that I got did not have the fogs and also over here you basicly can't use fog lights due to some dumb *** laws even if it is factory.... might also have something to do with that we don't get blizzards here in Australia I was mainly after other alternatives to see what others have done

I removed the black plastic cover and a few other bits of splash plastic, cut up some mesh placed it in and screwed it in place, there is a small gap around the edge but I will make up some more mesh inserts and cut bigger holes so that the mesh slids over the screw in points and then get (don't laugh) sheep docking rubber bands to go over the top of the screw posts to prevent it from coming off.. I know that sounds a bit ghetto but it works very well, once these bands are on they are not coming off in a hurry.

Mine have white bulbs in them, so they wouldn't work very well in fog, but they're great for driving at night. I've got my fogs on a toggle switch, so they stay on when switching the headlights from low beams to high beams. It's nice, because the fogs fill in the area right in front/to the sides of the car while the high beams light up the road far enough out in front to stop when those pesky deer are standing in the road.

'Roos, in your case, I guess.

The stock head lights on our cars are great and yeah we do get quiet a few roos around here especially at the moment they have spent the winter on nice grass lands and are now on the move hunting out water which they get from the sides of roads and are a real hazzard over here the worst is emus you never want to hit one of them - they will go straight thru the windscreen and try clawing there way out killing front passenger and driver

I vote to keep the fog lights but if you were to remove them in place of mesh. If your running a CAI, might give you a whole lot more of air to the pipe. Downside a whole lot of water in the wet.
