getting forged lug nuts!!!!

I order bout 2 weeks ago forged lug nuts... They save about a pound or more per rim.... and their stronger than regular lug nuts... I went today to the place I order but they only send half of them so I have to wait for the other half... but when I grab one of them, their are as light as a pepsi top bottle and it feels like plastic... but strong as hell!!!! can't to see the differentces..

That's what I was thinking. I understand where you are going with the lug nuts thing but you aren't shedding that much weight. If you are serious about shedding weight then keep going with it. That's like me needing to change my dirty **** clothes after playing in the mud and all I do is put new shoelaces in. The rest of me is still dirty as fluck. lol

hey BLKRalliArt04

how do you have an 06 GTI if they aren't out yet? or is that what you're planning on getting. from what i've seen/read its supposed to be a sweet package. i sat in the GLI and really liked the interior look and feel. i hated the dsg buttons though - because that's all they were, just buttons. not flaps, but really poor feeling buttons. maybe its different when you're driving it, i don't know. (i was at the dealer when it was closed and they left the car open)

These should make a decent decrease in unsprung mass... but would be even more helpful with lighter-than-stock rims. For those of you that think that his target is to get 4lbs less out of the total weight of the car, you have some concepts to learn (sprung mass vs. unsprung mass for the most part).

I have Muteki open end lugs, and they are probably close to a pound per rim savings over stock. They are real specific about their torque weights, and you CAN'T use an impact gun on them. If you have your tires rotated somewhere, make sure that's known.

Can you provide the weight of the stock lugs and that of the lightweight ones? Price would be useful, too.
