as for the the whole NOS thing , NOS stands for ....Nitrous ....Oxide.....System....NOS.....so that's why all of those people call it NOS because thats what it is

OKAY new update. i tested out the nitrous today and everyhing worked perfectly!!!!!...almost. i made like 10 runs with it testing like from a dig and highway runs. you can really feel it on the highway. and i love the tssssssssssssssssssssssssss sound. the last time i sprayed i went from a 40 punch up to 110mph and clunk cluknk and engine died. i almost **** my pants cuz i thought i ruined the engine.....so i got the engine back running and it sounded bad. it litterally sounded like a wrx.sti with exhaust liike that 'subaru gurgle" its funny cuz i was riding with my friend who helped me install it and he has a 06 sti, and he said....' well you always wanted a sti...." lol anyways i let the engine cool down and i checked the spark plugs. the #1 piston spark plug was melted and i fixed it and poped it back in and the engine ran perfect. so im going to pick up some colder spark plugs and it should be fine from then on. but man the nitrous was fun!!!! while it was spraying the engine handled it fine. ta ta!

the engine handled it perfectly, didnt bog down or throw codes. just needs colder spark plug cuz the stock iridiums run to hot. other than that its perfect.

I love that..." it ran perfectly...oh but I melted a plug..."

Sounds like a guy I used to work with, he took a stock cavalier, lowered it, "winged" it, and gave it NOS...took it to the track, blew a spark plug out of the block, but "it wasn't the nos..."

Now I'm not saying NOS is bad...just that if you're going to do it, you'd better prepare the engine properly, or be prepared for the consequences...

ok well i didnt blow a spark plug out of the block lol. it just melted the tip of the plug a little and bent down. i took out the plug and bent it back so it can make sparks and it runs perfectly no damage to engine. im just trying to find a colder plug but nobody has a part # for a colder plug, they just have stock replacement.

Maybe I'm crazy...but aren't spark plugs numbered, and then the difference between iridium, platinum, and copper a letter at the end of the number?...

It's been a while since I've looked at them, but I thought that's what it was when I replaced the plugs on an old car and put in platinums instead of the coppers...

you are correct, we have NGK Laser Iridiums stock on our cars. but they dont make a colder version. i need to find a substitute that will work. suposedly the evos have iridiums and are 1 step colder than our stockers, so they might work.
