So Ive been chekin out some threads where people are painting their rims...evo guys/ ra guys...

i have a white ra and really considering to paint them hyper black...

sinze i have my tires sitting in the garage cause of winter ...i think its a good time to do it!

what yall think?

yeah man i say go for it. Its really not that hard. But I recommend sanding them down very verry nicely. Otherwise the outcome wont come out as nice. I wonder what the difference between your potential hyper black rims.. and my high gloss rims?

whats the difference between hyper black and gloss black? Im getting ready to paint my rims black as well... on my 03 White.

hyper black has a metalic tone to it... sometimes it looks like a darker silver shade...
but in other angles it looks black,,

Hyper black is like a deep, dark chrome. You kinda have to see it in person as it never seems to photo well, always just looks chrome.

I think I'm going to be using the Duplicolor satin metallic black. Should look nice.

Hyper black is ok, i personally would go with Flat black but you know what you should do to get that Metallic look, Make sure you buy the engine black coating that would give it the shine you need i did three coatign for it, i did the clear coat then paint it black then repeat it three time, it look soooooooooo hot. i will take some pic and post if up tomorrow so you can see it. Right now i am drivign it around to let it dry up.

i like the flat black look on our rims...but after clear coating them they become all shiny black right?

i cant stand the shiny black look...it looks like someone got a paint brush and painted it..

r there ways to paint the rims flat black and keep it that look with the clear coats?

theres a topic on the evo show and shine and the blue with the silver car looks quite nice to me
