DIY Home Depot Lip

Any Ralliart owners ever tried this. I got this post from the Evo Show and Shine section. Here is the like of what you do from the SRT-4 forums. http://www.srtforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=379671

I wonder what a ralliart would look like with it. We have so little options for lips I thought I might give it a try.

Just updated my ralliart with the lip on page two if you want to check it out.

Yeah, maybe we should all just buy EVO's... Heard it before from you guys, give it up already... For us RA's, we have very limited options on changing the visual appeal of our vehicles... Anything is worth trying once...

I don't think it looks horrible personally... No, its not carbon fiber... No, its not painted fiberglass, and no, its not $300

Saw this in the Evo Show and Shine as well, I didn't know what to say at first lol.

I highly doubt any Ralliart owners have done this. I suggest you go give it a shot since it only costs $20 to do. However don't let other people's opinions bother you if you do plan on doing it.

Just don't half *** it. In some pictures it does look like a lip kit.

not sure how well this would look in addition to our lip kit... The SRT4 has a predominantly flat front lip, whereas ours raises up at certain points. The rubber may bend and look weird if not done properly... Maybe that stuff will conform better if you put a heat gun up to it?

I was the one that posted the EVO Show and Shine thread. I have a few SRT buddies that put it on there car not too long ago, and I liked it and wanted to see what it would look like on my car. So here it is.

more power to you if you try it...yeah you will save a lot of cash if you do this mod, but it's not going to do anything for your performance, i guess just for the looks.

did you find out if this weatherstrip will flap around at high speed? that would be interesting to know

Devils advocate here, but have most wings actually been tested for performance gains? im willing to bet not...

I know my old El Camino cooled better though with simple garden edging under the bumper.... It was 454ci, and ran hot for years until I did this... Could be a way to get a little more air to the intercooler or radiator...

It doesn't flap in the wind. I have taking my car up to 150 mph and the lip looked fine.

Who knows maybe i will give it a try. For $10 I can see if it looks good. If not it is easily removeable.

I used the hard foamy stuff. It's easier to work with, with the bumper having those little points in it, and in my opinion, looks better.

I want to put that lip on my car but I don't know if in my country I can find such a thing. I'll try to find in shops specialized in constructions.
