Imitation is the Highest Form of Flattery
i appreciate everyone being honest, as for the posing part if i could own any car it would be an IX MR and if you could see the smile on my face every time i look in my rear view you would understand why i spent 400 bucks so i could be a little closer to my dream, say what you will im lovin it
Although I'll offer a bit of advice (based on experience); purchasing a wing for a Lancer doesn't really bring you closer. If anything, it puts you 400 dollars further away from that dream.
I too dreamed of an Evo back in the day, but had to settle on a Hyunda Tiburon. True I loved the car and had a blast working on it, but when I think of all the money I threw into it...wow, it hurts. Had I just kept saving I could have probably had my dream car a whole year earlier. Then again, hindsight is 20/20.

well it least its not a neon, or scooby with a vortex generator.
i don't hate it, but i dont think it looks good either - it just doesnt follow the body lines. kind of like the rexpeed type-c wing on an Evo. it looks terrible because it doesnt follow the body lines.

nope wrong, looks great, nice work
putting a mitsubishi part on a mitsubishi car... whats wrong with that?
Whats wrong with VG's? Its something Mitsubishi wind tunnel tested on the lancer/evo for stability, which one could also point out a wing like the evo's also benefits, not just downforce.
but I know, I get it, you guys really just don't like to feel less special because us poor plebs want our cars to look cool and you feel that detracts from yours.... i wasnt impressed with Aussie mitsu dealers slapping the VR-X/RA spoiler on every ES they could find, but I didn't really care because it looks sucky anyway, whereas the Evo wing looks really cool.

Rane while your comments are reasonably accurate they do not nessicarily hold a lot of truth to it.. reason being we all like to be different, I seriously doubt that there would be a handful of Evo owners on this site or any other forum globally that has not bought an Evo of some variation and not done a mod of some kind does not matter if it is visual or performance now the main reason for them doing it is why - to personalise it make it go faster or look better more to there own liking? so now my statement is why waste your money on a Evo when you can buy BMW, Merc, Ferrari or Lambo... or any of the other exotic cars. the answer is easy personal choice, nobody wants to be the same as eveyone else we all want our 15 minutes of fame
To be honest and in my opinion, EVO spoilers look tryhard on anything but an Evolution. The same goes for the Scooby boys sticking the STi wing on anything but a WRX STi.
As an aside, the new 08 GTS/VRX is available without a spoiler in a lot of different markets (including Japan) and looks so much better than with the wing.
Either way, as long as you are happy, then

PS - hi, from MOGWA and MCA.
i've got the VG on my 05 RA and love it..get compliments from other dudes all the time..and they're usually drivin some other tuner...been thinking of getting the evo wing for mine too but not sure about the installation...don't paint rims...buy gloss black ones..ICW has some cool ones...i have icw osakas on right now but thinking of getting blk now....only thing about the evo wing is it attracts cops where i live..it makes the ra look like its speeding just sitting still..lol...yours looks good...like the color of your car too
nicely said.....i see a few like that around here and its just stupid.
to me, dont try to pose as something its not. See with the Subaru guys, its just a little different. The WRX is still AWD and Turbo, so putting the STi wing isnt that bad, but when a FWD Lancer comes out and does it, its kind of ridiculous. Call me a hater, call me whatever you want, but I dont think Im hating if I own an Evo and telling a Lancer guy this.

well to pay off my RA and get my credit in decent enough shape to buy myself an evo id be looking somewhere in the range of $40,000 and thats assuming that 13,000 is a reasonable trade in for the RA to use as a down payment, that and my wife is 7 months pregnant with our first child... i think 400 for a spoiler is a decent investment to keep me happy for a little while
As usual haters around. I want to be clear on what i gotta say. Each to their own The truth is Evo parts do look better each lancer/Ra owner doesn`t wanna be an evo wanna be its just some parts are better looking. SO why come down here and start going ehh evo wannabe`s Evry owner here knows what car they have.
Thats just my 2 cent`s.
