I've had my wheels painted for almost a month now. 320 grit sandpaper. Washed my wheels with Ice(works really well-took out a lot of dirt and oil right quick). Duplicolor: Primer, 500 deg. Engine Enamel Gold Paint, 500 deg. Engine Enamel Clear Coat.

There's a How-To. Search on the Evo Show and Shine section.

Did mine at the beginning of last year. Other than the parts that some moron and Discount Tire scratched up, they're holding up great. They'll get repainted this summer to fix the scratches. Process is simple. Clean them. Sand lightly to scuff. Clean thoroughly again. Primer, 2x coats color, and a few coats of clear. I used the Duplicolor wheel "system."

yeah pretty much what everyone is saying, sand alittle to scuff up abit so the paint will stick, clean, and have fun, took me about 4 hours to do all four wheels but the results are pretty selfexplanitary haha looks amazing when done right, and really gives your ride a new look...
