the new intake

here is the new, well new to me anyway, AEM intake, im going to have to keep it SRI cause of the flooding that goes on around here. kinda sucks but thats better then having to get a new engine. plus since i got the CF hood the vents pull out all the hot air in the engine bay and rushes in the nice cold air straight to the intake. sounds nice too! thanks again to Ralliartize it for finding the piece for me.

hey flip, i have the same hood on my RA, but i've been kinda reluctant to buy a SRI because of the vents above it... when it rains does the filter get wet? or does much water get in there?

it hasnt rained yet since i got the intake, but i have the vent insert that came with the hood, i just put it on if it going to rain, since its not a true SRI and the filter doesnt sit behind the batt. like a normal SRI would. there is also a filter sleeve you could get, i forget the name of it but its supposed to keep water out , and use little resistance keeping the same performance as if there were no sleeve on it. if i find the link ill post it here for you.

I've got the same one on my car. I keep my other pipe in the box and haven't put it on yet. It seems that it requires some cutting to install.

Make sure you keep the filter away from the plastic battery box. The vibration will eat away at it.
