A question for those with projectors

Looking at some of the $200 projectors on ebay...just curious as to how they work though. Do you have to wire up the halos or are they plug and play (for instance the whole setup comes with some kind of harness adapter)?

If they are plug and play, how do you activate them?

Would I still have high and low beams?

How is the light output compared to stock? Is it a little worse, or a LOT worse?

Thanks.

Halos should be already installed into the housing. May want to make sure that the little box that powers the halos are secured onto the housing as mine fell and took a shower when it rained and fried.

Housings SHOULD be plug and play with a 9007 adapter already installed onto it as well. There are some though that are made for the Euro Lancers so may want to double check with the seller on them.

What you mean activate? The halos automatically turn on with your parking lights (turn the headlight dial over once) and then they stay on when you turn on your headlights as well.

Still have high and low beams but the bulbs are just separated.

Light output is ehh... throw some HIDs on there and you should be good

ok that's what I needed to know. I figured they came on with the running lights, just wasn't sure.

any opinion on the $35 HID kits they have on eBay? I'm thinking $200 projectors + $35 HID kit = pretty cool headlight setup for next to nothing.

You can wire them up a few ways actually.

I have my Halo's as Day time running lights the minute I put my key in...then manually if I turn it once the parking lights are on too, then full turn, the headlights are on with the Halo's

My buddy and I made a brace for the Ballasts and pretty much drilled them to the body, so they don't move around.

I bought mine on Ebay as well and it came with 6000K HID in both the high and low beam which was sweet, was about $295 and worth it

With projectors the beam is so much cleaner....cut off is so so and can be adjusted, but very happy with the look and light output.

my advice to you: reseal the lights before installation or else you will have leaking problems
