Can electrician please help me with PROJECTOR LIGHTS?

So i bought a new set a OEM projector lights to replace my current halogen ones, and after i blacked them out and put them on my car it the DRLs don't work and the projectors arent working properly also. I looked into the relay harness from the car and the one on the projectors itself and seems like they dont all match up (the pins and the holes) and there are fewer pins on the projector then the halogen relay harness. So i was wondering if here is some kind of adapter i have to buy or anything i have to do to make my lights work properly? Or do i have to rewire it ?

it's completely different wiring. if you don't know how to manually wire it up you'll have to buy the entire harness, switch, and reflash the ecu for projectors at the dealer.

btw an electrician does wiring in a house, not a car. they're completely different. you wouldn't want a plumber working on your engine would you?

with any plans of modding a little research would go a long way. unfortunately they are not plug and play.

i have a friend that did this and he made his own harness and was able to make the HID work but i believe the DRL does not. i cant really recall the exact details but he still was not able to make it function 100%.

Try calling south coast mitsu or huntington beach mitsu and they can help you out.

DRL's on any lancer aren't a constant "on" signal. they're a pulsed signal, and when measured (the wires for the light harness) with an oscilloscope are a square waveform. basically a distorted form of AC. that's why it's difficult for people who don't know what they're doing to wire it up because it's not just plug and play.

in my earlier post i said what needs to be done.

no idea, but as with any dealership, it'll probably cost $3000

i was implying all dealerships are way overpriced. maybe it would've been easier to buy one with the SSS package? they make aftermarket replacements if you go look in the how to section that look very similar to stocker projectors, but are meant to be plug and play.

I was under the impression that although there is a command in the ecu to change your car from non-SSS to SSS that function is locked from the factory.
