wheels poll

ok guys, so i have ordered my rota grids, but my wheel guy PROMPTLY told me to look around for others, he said "just in case, you see something else you like" i think he was try to tell me he didnt like the rota's, lol maybe its because they look like my motegi's that i already have on my car. so i have seen a few and thought i would just ask you guys what you think, cause your feed back is always helps out thanks everyone.

here are the choices....

Rota Grid bronze 17x7.5 +45 (+35 with some work)

Enkei RPF1 Gold 17x7 +45 (17x8 +35 with some work)

Work Emotion CR Kai Bronze 17x7 +42 (+32 with some work) (these will have to check if we can get them on monday)

and for those who are thinking "didnt you already have one of these polls??" no, the other one was for one specific set of wheels, but polling for the color, and was let down cause the color i was set on is no longer made/discontinued/FML

Aw man lmao I accidentally hit the RPF1's.
I think you should go with the Work emotions. But they are pretty expensive from what I remember. Also there was a guy here that had a white RA that had the Rotas that are like the Work Emotions. It'll give you an idea of how it will look.

So anyways get the Work Emotions! Lol
What offset are you going to do though? Concave is the way to go!

yea they dont look bad, concave comes with some work, i.e. rolling, spacers....maybe a pull

added the work offset, and the other offset/sizes that i would go with some work done. trying to not have to do so much work, but then again you guys know i dont mind.

haha just saw that white RA with the Work Emotions, yea.....after looking at it like that, i dont think im feeling them that much, i dunno. ima have to photo shop them on my car and see. ha

Lol well i think with the work concaved then they will look better. If you don't mind the work to make them fit, then I'd say go for it!

well i did see a set of rota grids i could get with a +35 offset, im thinking that is good for the inside clearance, and just some rolling would be needed. what you think? im mean there not like k3lv's super beast of work wheels with the +20 offset so i wont have to do THAT much to get them going.
-Flip

here it shows the +35's and the concave is awesome!

Yeah the Rota Grids with +35 will look sick bro!
Plus like you said not much work with those. Also so they won't look like your current rims lol.

The 17x7.5 +35 wont look like a 17x9.5 +35. It will be much less concave if any, I hate to let you all know that.

This is a picture of a +42 someone was selling, the offset difference will net a little more of a concave look, it won't look like that subie.

Oh wow, you're right Kelv. It slipped right by me, I didn't notice the ones on the subie were 17x9.5.

Eh still Flip try for maybe a 17x 8.5 with that offset?? Lol
Or go find some rare Jdm rims lmao.

so your saying a set with a +45 or +40 would be a more concave look with the 17x7.5 set up? i thought it would look like the subie ones i had found. sucks. im wanting to get as much of a concave look as possible.

check your pm

But to answer your thread questions for anyone else. No, a +35 will look(very little difference) more concave than a +40 or +45.

I'm comparing the 17x9.5 +35 to 17x7.5 +35. The 17x7.5 you're targeting will NOT look like the 17x9.5 from the Subie.

edit: Also I've been in your position, I'm not sure if there is a design that is 7.5 wide or less that gives a concave look. Rota Boosts(advan rg replica) is the closest I've seen

found these wheels too. XXR 522 17x8 +35

the +35 offset ones are in the front. these wheels are made to have the concave look.
-Flip

just wondering how low of a offset will be too far out to the fenders. K3lv's works are a +20 (GEEZUS!!!) these are just +35, i dont mind pulling the fenders out a little. hmmmm
