having some fun with my RA (track)

hey guys just want to share some numbers specially for the AT guys who maybe feel kind of frustrate about the AT. stock 1/4mile i did 16.2 with my RA, at least those were my numbers...two weeks ago i did 14.27 @ 1/4 mile with 97 MPH...criticism is always a plus...let me know what you think...by the way my RA is turbo AT...
***Want to clarify that's my second time with my RA on a track...

1st time: 14.45 @ 92
2nd time: 14.27 @ 97

(i change intercooler and hot side turbo housing
engine is also stock....
a lot of tire spinning and from 1st to 2nd as soon as the tirres stick to the ground the car revs down a little bit and then from 2nd to Drive feels grrrreeeeaatttt.... hope you like it guys....i'm probably going to the track in a few weeks with better tires....
something i figured out is that i'm not a good driver @ track hahaa it's not that easy as it looks...i feel the car more powerful at the street than on the track...but it's fine i'm just having fun with my project....

*****Hey bro I edited your original post your not allowed to post up road racing/ street racing videos this is a friendly warning it's just the rules

As for the track , yeah it takes practice to learn how your car hooks up and finding and staying in the groove. Do you have solid motor mounts? If not they will help out alot with that dreaded wheel hop off the line. If your going to get tires go big or go home and get some slicks they will get you into the 13s for sure. Your an auto so an LSD isn't possible so spend the money on some light weight rims to match your slicks otherwise keep it up !!!

research how to do burnouts on street tires. You don't spin them like you do slicks to get to optimum temp. Hope it helps.

nice win, i noticed in the distance your side of the board lit up first

also curious what that other car was...looked like a civic...

sounds great too...i second the notion of improving traction, you got lots of power...good luck with your next pull

Very nice run!

Definitely diggin' the wingless/es tail look.

I think you mentioned how much you're boosting in another post some where but I can't remember. How much were you boosting on this run?

thank you guys for the support.... I'm really happy...YES i have to start learning how to do some good burnouts but it was fun spinning tires and listening to the blow off valve hahaha....

next to me was a 2008 NA lancer intake exhaust and 60 shot of nitrous... he also ran a pretty good 14.9....the difference is that it was manual tranny and the driver is a guy who have ton of experience driving fast cars specially motorcycles....drivers make a lot of difference at the track...

i'm boosting right now 9.5 psi according to the boost gauge....thinking of improving the motor mounts, better tires, more aggressive brake boosting, ceramic coating to turbo housing, manifold and wastegate, and thinking on sending my ECU to hackish..AFR is on the 10.8 which is kind of rich...
