mitsubishi lancer Plasti-dip a whole car in 2013, going vinyl Wrap Satin matte black ( page 4)

...work in progress. Going probably all black. Just need more time to finish it.

Just finish to wash it... Still wet, but dry faster then a normal paint

the color and texture I like but do it all or not at all.... tint those headlights and taillights and you have a blacked out ra. how's the paint itself ? I've seen it look good in pics but like **** in person , and it chips off maybe not the best idea but props for jumping out there and doing something unique

Thx for the comments, still not sure about the lights , i think ill try to open them and paint them flat black to.

The paint looks good, but depends of how you apply it. Thin coats and much time to dry between the coats give better results for me. ( around 20 mins )

I've done my two doors on the driver side and i made them fast with heavy coats. It looks uneven. So ill have to redo them but its not a big deal, only two hours to do and around half a can of plasti dip.

And the paint is really resistent to the chips....i have no chip since i paint the parts.

Well. It's better than spray paint.

Finish it up!

I just spray it on, just need to clean the car...

No sanding or primer...

And i redo my trunk and wing ( they was the first parts i spray ) and i peel it to redo the job, i wasnt satisfy of the results so, i peel it but it stick alot on the parts, and the original paint was still like new, clean and glossy.

See, same thing as this : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9hnZ084ff-c

I think it will look cool all in that flat black texture. I've always liked flat black, but hate when people rattle can it and leave it uneven and blotchy. Would look really nice too with projectors and depo black housed tails.

Like i said, thin coats, around 20 mins between the coats and around 3-4 coats.

i've tryed heavy coats and like 5 mins for dry between the coats on my two doors and it looks blotchy or uneven...ill have to redo the doors..not a big deal.

Oh and i notice if you spray far from the part, it give more textured finish to it.

Later, ill go take some closer pictures.

has anyone seen the longterm effects ? like does it loose that easy elastic peeling property over time? I'm in Miami and I just can't help but to think that over a summer it would become hard and hard to remove if it's possible at all.
