Vortex generator from the evo 8 mikemike

 

It's called a Vortex Generator... Ebay would probably be your best bet. OR if you're lucky, you might be ably to find a couple in the Evo FS area

@mikemike Yep its a Vortex Generator. Ive had two of them now. The first got ripped off in a car wash... My mistake I shouldve known better than to use the kind of wash that I did... :/ And the one that is currently on my car, which started cracking and splitting from the corners and is now being held together with strategic placement of black duck tape. :thumbsup: But Ive used 3m sticky tape to put it on both times. If my current one gives me any more grief I will order one last more and I will rivet/drill the damn thing down! lol

And thanks! I do think it looks very clean now! Im just trying to find a place to put my RA badge inside the car now. LOL

seems quite logical as other companies put their logos there quite frequently

 

I was gunna do that but it doesnt really fit that contour there and is actually kinda big. IDK I might come around to it. But it felt off when i first put it there to see how it'd look... Maybe I just need to place it somewhere and get use to it... lol

 

i cant really think of any other place tho..
besides that spot i said already it might seem even more out of place...
i understand it wont fit perfect but itll grow on you and if it ever flls off or comes off u'll be like..."whoa...it looks all empty over there now"..

i know ive seen it somewhere on the forum somebody/people have it on there and i think it looked quite good...maybe it may take a bit to adjust to it tho...
in fact speaking of it, i may do it myself...lol...and finally finish debadging the trunk of mine...my lancer badge fell off on it's own a few months ago...
i think theese cars are too awesome to be badged a lancer...and the car knew that, so it debagded itself...lol

and i wanna get around to dipping my mitsu badges too...(but that may be a while)

 

Well I picked up my wing parts and eyelids from the body shop today. They looked great other than having to wait 5 days longer than he originally told me... lol And after paying him he even gave me the left over pain for it so I can touch stuff up if need be.

EDIT:: the other eyelid is taped to the cardboard a bit farther in the back you can kinda see it at the top of the picture but its there too. lol This also makes me think video games like NFS and Forza are stupid for not letting you paint or put decals on carbon fiber when obviously you can, and it looks pretty awesome too! :P

 

Looks great! I'm excited to see it all put together.

no but really...
i've heard after some time the CF pattern shows through the paint(the paint gets kinda dimpled or sumn)...i'd assume it'd be similar w/ stickers?...
i suppose some people care about it and some don't...
personally i'd think it should look awesome(tho i've never seen it in person)...
but im sure some people might wanna camouflage the CF w/ paint and not want it to show through...

NICE!!! She looks much better with the spoiler IMO and the eyelids will make her look more aggressive
