Your front bumper reminds me of frankenstein with all them rivets lol
liking the steering wheel! i miss my old steering wheel from the last car. it was much easier to manipulate with the leather since it was softer and had more grip as opposed to the wheels that the current lancers have

Yea this wheel is awesome! I've driven a few newer cars with those hard plastic steering wheels. They suck.... like crans said tho. At least you got awd and boost!
bakuro117 Hey there! I just noticed we almost have a twin cars (no copyright intended). I just like my car to be white with a little black on it. Im gonna post some pictures of the progress on my car later
better check it out, i want to hear some feedbacks, good or bad i dont care
)
Nice ride!

haha
the rivets actually look kinda cool...
good job on the bumper and wheel man!
ps...my 04 had a leather wrapped steering wheel vs my 14 mazda and the 09 jetta now have only rubber wheels and i HATE them...they don't grip in your hands, feel like crap and look even worse...
(granted it was actully almost the top trim level vs the oother 2 being the bottom of the barrel trim levels...)
Since steering wheels are the topic du jour, I've never seen a "how to" for installing an aftermarket steering wheel into the RA. I know its been done, seen the pics, but no mention of which adapter parts to buy, etc. Anyone got any advice on this matter?

LOL Indeed they do! The white RA looks so good with black accents! The red and orange touches look nice on it too though.
LOL Thats awesome! Post some pics man! I'd love to see it! Someone else on here had a similar car to mine as well. Except I think he had red mud flaps and some big decals on his front doors.

Good news!
I got under the car to address the popping noise thats been going on for quite a while now. I had a friend who is a Diesel mechanic in the national guard help me isolate the sound the other day to rule anything else out. Well he said it definitely looks like its coming from the rear motor mount.
So last night while I was under there I notice the motor mount is missing one of its 4 bolts on the base. But when I lifted the engine to try to get a better look I noticed the bolt that holds the cross member in place looked to be about 2 or 3 threads loose. I tightened it up and decided I would wait to tackle the missing motor mount bolt until this weekend.
However. This morning the popping noise it completely gone! I tried everything I could think of to make it happen and it wouldnt. So Im assuming its been that bolt on the cross member all along! Im so happy! Car is starting to feel healthy again!
Now if I can get the oil changed, get my fenders rolled slightly, fix my mud flaps, fix that A pillar, and swap over the trunk interior from the green car I'll be good as gold!

Also need to find someone with a fender roller. Or brave up and try the phone book method...
Other than that your right the other stuff wont take long at all. I may end up doing it this weekend.
Im also thinking about getting an oil cooler and having the transmission checked soon. Its getting pretty far up there in mileage now.
LOL Yea Im gunna order some more royal purple and a new RP oil filter too.

then the fenderd started rusting...

make sure you at least use some of that clear rustoleum rust converter/clearcoat if you do chip the paint off...it'll save u the work later of having to remove all the rust and etc
or at least it SHOULD help prevent it rusting
